# Test Management Built-in test case management with test runs, execution tracking, and defect linking. ## Test Cases ### Creating Test Cases 1. Navigate to the Test Cases section 2. Click "New Test Case" 3. Enter title and description 4. Add test steps ### Test Steps Each test case contains steps: 1. **Step description** - What to do 2. **Expected result** - What should happen 3. **Test data** - Any required input data ### Organizing Test Cases Organize test cases in folders: - Feature areas - Test types (smoke, regression, etc.) - Priority levels ## Test Runs A test run is an execution of a set of test cases. ### Creating a Test Run 1. Navigate to Test Runs 2. Click "New Test Run" 3. Select test cases to include 4. Assign testers 5. Set target completion date ### Running Tests 1. Open a test run 2. Select a test case 3. Execute each step 4. Mark as Pass, Fail, or Blocked 5. Add notes and evidence ### Test Results - **Pass** - Test completed successfully - **Fail** - Test did not meet expected result - **Blocked** - Cannot execute (missing data, environment issue) - **Skipped** - Intentionally not run ## Defect Linking When a test fails, create a defect: 1. Click "Create Defect" on a failed test 2. Defect is automatically linked to the test case 3. Defect appears in the backlog 4. Re-run test after defect is fixed ## Requirements Traceability Link test cases to work items: 1. Open a test case 2. Click "Link to Work Item" 3. Select the requirement or user story View coverage reports to see which requirements have tests. ## Reports ### Test Run Summary - Total tests: passed, failed, blocked - Execution progress - Time spent ### Coverage Report - Requirements with tests - Requirements without tests - Coverage percentage
