Coverage

Coverage shows which work items have test cases. Use coverage to find requirements without tests.

Link test cases to work items

Link a test case to a work item to record coverage. Windshift then shows the link in two places:

• The coverage report shows the test cases for a work item.
• The collection tree can show the linked test cases for each work item. Turn on the test case column in the tree.

Configure coverage

Coverage configuration selects the item types that count as requirements. Each workspace stores its own configuration.

1. Open Reports and select the Requirements Coverage tab.
2. Select Configure Requirements.
3. Select the item types to track.
4. Select Save Configuration.

Coverage report

The coverage report shows:

• Total work items.
• Covered work items.
• Uncovered work items.
• Coverage rate.

For each work item, the report shows the linked test cases and the latest result. Filter the report by All Requirements, Covered Only, or Not Covered Only.

A work item has coverage when at least one test case links to it.
